Ecovadis is the world’s largest and most trusted provider of business sustainability ratings. Its assessment reflects the performance of the management system of each company, evaluating four specific aspects: environment, labor & human rights, ethics and sustainable procurement, creating a global network of more than 75,000 rated companies. Their customers include companies as important as Hempel, Lanxess, BASF or PPG
PROMINDSA received its first Ecovadis evaluation in 2016, as a request from two important customers, Hempel and Lanxess, great companies which have a strong social and environmental commitment and require their suppliers to meet the same criteria.
Since then, PROMINDSA has been improving its rating and, at the end of 2020, it obtained the silver medal (60 points), which puts our company ahead of 86% of the companies in metallurgical mining sector. Once this achievement has been met, the new short-term goal is to keep improving in order to obtain the gold medal.
