Meeting The Santa Rosa mine in Tierga

CompanyNews

Did you know…?

High purity hematitic iron mineralization formed during the Paleozoic is extracted from the Santa Rosa mine. The morphology of the ore is directly conditioned by tectonics, showing itself as lenticular bodies that sometimes overlap one another, giving rise to exploitation zones with thicknesses of the ore body that surpass 6 m. Such is so, that the extraction and monitoring tasks must be subject to structural criteria.

The Santa Rosa mine galleries are 200 meters deep and more than 37 kilometers long, being marked and modelized daily by our research and planning mine geologist.
